Situated on the western side of Mount Soledad, and widely regarded as the cream of the crop in La Jolla real estate, the Muirlands features wide curving roads, old growth trees and spectacular multimillion dollar homes. It is also ideal for families, since many of the homes are within walking distance of excellent schools.
The area is so exclusive that anything under $1.5 million for a detached house is considered a bargain. In the Muirlands Drive area, you will not find homes for sales for less than $2.5 million. The homes with postcard-like scenic views go for far more than that. This is arguably the most exclusive part of La Jolla, and with good reason.
